Court date set for education voucher program, constitutionality in question

Louisiana (NBC33) — A court date is now set for October 15 in District Court in the battle over Louisiana's new voucher program.

Teacher unions are arguing that it is unconstitutional because public money helps fund private schools.

Both Governor Jindal and State Superintendent of Schools John White believe the new program is constitutional.
