Grand Jury to hear evidence in case of missing UL Lafayette student

LAFAYETTE, LA (NBC33) — The man of kidnapping UL Lafayette student Mickey Shunick, 22, will have a Grand Jury hearing today in Lafayette Parish. Brandon Lavergne, 33, won't be in court.

Lavergne is also facing a First Degree Murder charge in this case. Investigators tell NBC33 they haven't found Mickey Shunick's body, though.

Today, we'll find out if Lafayette Police have enough evidence to pursue the charges in court.
