NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A padding problem has forced a recall of more than 10,000 Ford Escape SUVs.
Ford is recalling 2013 models manufactured from March 8-June 7 of this year.
There's a problem with the placement of the carpet padding, which may reduce the space around the pedals and could cause a driver to hit the side of the brake when switching from the accelerator.
The recall covers more than 8,000 Escapes in the U.S. alone.
Ford says they'll contact affected customers.
