BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Kids from the Baton Rouge area enjoyed a day with the Hornets organization at BRCC.
Children ages 7 to 16 learned all about the game of basketball. The kids spent time with camp directors learning drills for offense and defense.
Wednesday, Hornets play-by-play announcer Bob Licked stopped by for a motivational speech.
The youngsters say they're just soaking it all it.
"I've been learning how to play defense and how to become a better person and how to shoot better," Jaheim Holden, Hornets camper, said.
"I really thought that Anthony Davis was going to be here," he added when asked why he wanted to participate in the camp.
Unfortunately, Anthony Davis wasn't there.
The camp wraps up tomorrow.
