BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The legislature has official cancelled a special session to overturn Governor Jindal's vetoes.
Both the Senate President and House Speaker said they got enough requests to cancel the special session, which was set for July 14. The session was automatically set when the governor rejected 21 bills after the session ended.
The special veto sessions are very rare in Louisiana. In fact, there hasn't been one since the current constitution was put in place 40 years ago.
