BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — UPDATE: The pedestrian struck by a vehicle this morning in the 8400 block of Florida Blvd. is identified as Thomas Hayes, 24, of Baker. He was taken to a local hospital where his injuries turned out not to be as serious as first thought and he is expected to make a full recovery.
ORIGINAL: A man is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after being hit by a car early this morning.
The Baton Rouge Police Department responded to the call at about 1:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5. When they arrived to the scene located on the 8400 block of Florida Blvd. they found a 24 year old man lying in the roadway.
The man was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
The driver was not issued a citation. The investigation is ongoing.
