BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — When the Bally Total Fitness trainers entered the workout room little did they know they were in for workout of a lifetime.
First up orange team. "I aught to make you go get your own set of dumbells," said Losing it in Louisiana contestant James Newman.
James Newman put trainer Joey Juneau through a step up routine with a twist.
"You know I needed to break a good sweat today,"said Juneau. "It was good. I enjoyed it."
No matter how hard Newman pushed him Juneau gave up.
"It felt pretty good, but I was hoping to actually try to challenge him," said Newman. "I don't know if there's anything that can challenge him."
Up next the pink team Rebekah Worrell and Lake Johnson. Worrell's workout was a five minute long ab routine tourture.
"V-Up crunches are usually pretty hard for people," said Bally Total Fitness trainer Lake Johnson. "I mean not for us, becuase we do them all the time. But, they were hard for most people. "
Worrell included a special surprise for the trainers wall sits with company.
"Well mine was easy to come up with, because since Lake's been training me," said Worrell. "I knew exactly what I wanted to do."
Like a good trainer Worrell didn't take any cutting up in her class!
"I'm watching you," Worrell told trainers.
Then it was the green team's turn to take the wheel with circuit training.
"James you made me very proud," said trainer Erik Duncan.
Contestant James Henry had one goal: make trainer Erik Duncan burpy for his life.
"The first instinct is finally I get to get even," said Henry. "Then you go wait a minute. Monday this gets switched back around, so anything I may have upset him with will come back at me with ten times the force."
Duncan took the challenge in stride.
"It probably would have been better for him if he had seen me in pain," said Duncan. "If he had seen me cry."
Kris Cusanza with the red team taught the fifth workout.
"I knew I was in for a surprise and guess what it was a surprise," said trainer Carlos Rachel.
First Cusanza made the trainers show off thier dance skills.
"The workout was very creative and unorthodox," said Rachel. "It was good. I enjoyed it. "
Then the group boxed out a little stress and ended with the trainers doing limbo lunges.
Just when the trainers thought the workout was finished it was time for the dog sled challenge.
Most of us made it across the finish line fine. Others just flopped.
In the end the trainers said we could join their team any day.
"I would hire you as Bally trainers," said Rachel.
