NBC NATIONAL NEWS — Tom Cruise is a casualty of war in "Born on the Fourth of July." This 1989 Academy Award winner comes to Blu-Ray for the first time. In it, Cruise plays Ron Kovic, a real-life Vietnam veteran whose patriotism led him to volunteer to go to war. But after being wounded in action, Kovic becomes a voice for the disenchanted as the America he returns to is in chaos.
Jane Fonda is a sultry space kitten in "Barbarella." Though she won Oscars for other films, this may be her most famous role. The 1968 sci-fi romp features Fonda as a come-hither earthling adventurer looking to restore peace and harmony to the galaxy one tryst at a time.
Snoop Dogg hits the books in "Mac and Devin Go to High School." The rap legend plays a 15th year senior who has to get his diploma in order to earn a date with a substitute teacher. Fellow rapper Wiz Kahlifa plays the straight-laced valedictorian who doesn't know how to have fun. Together, the do-gooder and the the Doggfather teach what the other is lacking.
