NBC NATIONAL NEWS — The National Parks service says the annual fireworks show in the nation's capital must go on.
Violent storms left millions without power in the Washington, D.C. area.
Crews have been working around the clock to prepare for the annual capital fourth fireworks show on the National Mall.
This year's show is part of a series of Independence Day events on the mall including a concert with performer Ben Vereen and the US Army Blues Ensemble.
