NBC News — The European Union's unemployment rate has gone up to a record 11.1%. Spain still has the highest unemployment rate on the continent, it's already record rate continued to climb and now stands at 24.6%.
Greece's unemployment rate isn't too far behind Spain's. Unemployment has been edging higher for more than a year now in Europe as concerns over the debt crisis have weighed on economic activity. In total, 17.6 million Europeans are out of work.
