Chase Bank has announceed they're cutting almost 250 jobs from Downtown Baton Rouge. That's months after Capital One shaved 200 jobs, and Governor Jindal cut 3,000 at the State level.
In a city that's still trying to grow and expand, folks we talked with say the city's future plans need to be put on hold.
Loren C. Scott, an economist in Baton Rouge, says cuts of this magnitude are concerning. But there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Scott says Baton Rouge has lost just a half percent of it's jobs. That's compared the almost 6 percent national average. That while jobs and projects are still pouring into the city.
