BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — For the first time in months prices at the pump in Baton Rouge at some stations are under $3 a gallon.
“It’s about time the gas goes down because a lot of things - you can’t do you need to do - traveling and working in the summer time,” Wayne Lafayette, a Baton Rouge customer, said. “ Gas is going down that make the economy a little better.”
According to Gas Buddy.com more than a dozen gas station across the Capital City have the less than $3 gas. Prices have been falling steadily for about the last week.
The average price in Baton Rouge right now is about $3.12 a gallon. That's way down from $3.35 a month ago.
The average price across the country right now is $3.41.
