New Orleans, La — UPDATE: Yesterday the NOPD arrested 24 year-old Adonus Harris, 24, for the armed robbery of the mushroom record store on Broadway Street last week. He was positively as the cross dresser who entered the store with an accomplice and demanded the employees to give them cash. The other suspect is still at large.
ORIGINAL: Detectives are asking the public’s assistance in identifying a pair who robbed a record store located in the 1000 block of Broadway Street.
The pair casually walked into the store on June 22, 2012 around 9:59 p.m. The cross dressing man approached the register asking the store clerk to use the restroom while the other male went to the front door as look out. The cross dressing man then walked behind the counter and demanded the clerk to open the register while the other man ordered the other employee to the manager’s office to open the safe. The pair made off with a little over $2,000 in cash, both men fled on foot in unknown direction. The incident was captured on the store’s video surveillance camera.
The first perpetrator is described as a cross dressing black male, stocky build, approximately 6’0 wearing a black dress, with a dark and wig.
The second perpetrator is described as a black male, light complexion, approximately 5’08 tall, wearing dark jeans and a dark shirt, with a bandanna around his face.
