BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A man is in the hospital with life threatening injuries after being shot in his mid section.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that the incident occurred at roughly 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 25. We’re told a Uniform Patrol Officer from 1st District was patrolling the area when he heard gunshots. He located the scene on N. 27th Street where he found a man lying in the roadway suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed with life threatening injuries.
The suspect is said to have fled the scene. Detectives are actively seeking a suspect.
