Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Almost two weeks in, and officials are holding a community meeting to gauge the impact of the BRAVE program.
Officials over the Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination project will address members of the 70805 zip code tonight to talk over any concerns they have dealing with the program.
Five officers were assigned last week to that zip code, which accounts for 30 percent of all homicides in the city.
Tonight's meeting is also a chance to learn more about the BRAVE project and meet the officers. It starts tonight at 6:00 p.m. at the Delmont Service Center on Riley Street.
NBC33’s Jason Newton will have all the details on the meeting on NBC33 News at 10.
