Iva Tullier with the Bourgeois Family Reunion and Dana Territo with Alzheimer Services of the Capital Area came on BR Lagniappe to share about two events to benefit Alzheimer's Services. Tullier said that Sat., June 23rd starting at 5 p.m. , Sno's Restaurant in Gonzales will donate 10% of their proceeds of the night to Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area. Then, on the next night at the Clarion Inn from 2-5 p.m., there will be a silent auction featuring 140 auction items, a desert social, and music by CenterStage. Tullier shared that her faamily was touched by Alzheimers disease as her mother had alzheimer's and was from a family of 12 , 10 of which were diagnosed with alzheimers disease and 7 have passed away.
Dana Territo with Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area , shared that Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area is a one-stop shopping place for caregivers and persons with alzheimers. Territo said they offer Charlies's Place Adult Day Center open 5 days a week , a Resource Library, Programs and Services, Lunch and Learn, educational services and conferences, and November awareness activities. Territo said that as they do not receive any state or federal funding, they exist on donations given to then and events lie this are crucial to their survival.
