Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Negotiations between CATS and its union workers are scheduled to begin on July 19 according to CATS board member Jared Loftus.
The negotiations follow two days of protests by the union.
Union workers joined picket lines at City Hall and CATS headquarters over the past two days.
The workers are asking for better working conditions. They also accuse CATS of unfair hiring practices.
They say they've been without a labor contract since 2009.
