Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A Baton Rouge woman accused of beating her eight-year-old son to death won't be able to bond out of jail.
Judge Trudy White ruled Lavaughn Riley will have to stay in the East Baton Rouge Parish jail.
The EBR Coroner says Riley's son Xzavyion was beaten to death. Investigators say they could have saved the child if he'd been brought to the hospital sooner.
Both she and father Michael Robertson are being charged with First Degree Murder in the child’s death.
