East Baton Rouge Parish, La (NBC33) — Bernard Taylor takes over as the permanent Superintendent of East Baton Rouge schools today
Taylor's already well-acclimated with the district. He's already had to take on a number of major issues in the interim, including attempts by one group to form a separate school system out of EBR Parish, a new state law providing vouchers for students to leave the district, and several schools being taken over by the State Recovery School District.
Taylor has many priorities, but says they all must equal student achievement.
NBC33’s Jason Newton will have an in-depth look at Taylor and his new job on NBC33 News at 10.
