KENNER, LA (NBC33) — The home of the two suspects being questioned in relation to the dismemberment of Jaren Lockhart was searched yesterday, Wednesday, June 13. As investigators taped off the front yard, neighbors stood in front of theirs wondering about the people who they lived next to for years.
WDSU, the NBC affiliate in New Orleans, spoke to those neighbors yesterday. They said the pair were “odd” and they were “night owls who kept to themselves.”
Most were simply shocked by the sight of so many law enforcement officers.
“It’s pretty crazy to be happening in front of the house like this,” Kevin Rodriguez, a neighbor, told WDSU.
Located on Connecticut Avenue in Kenner, the home was originally occupied by Sanchez alone. Roughly two months ago Speaks, her boyfriend, moved in. Speaks has a lengthy criminal history, and he is a convicted sex offender in North Carolina. He had not registered as a sex offender in Louisiana.
