Crystal Pichon with Lexlee's Kids came on BR Lagniappe to share some tips on Summer Water Safety. Pichon shared that people should wear life jackets when on water vessels, even if they can swim, especially when boating, skiing , etc. Pichon said that murkey waters prevent people from seeing you if you have problems in the water. Pichon also said that its prudent to use safety devices such as shepard's hooks, a life preserver and a portable telephone when staying by the pool. She also advised installing a fence at least four feet high around all sides of the pool to keep little ones form the pool. Pichon said that using sun-screens with a SPF with at lest 15-30 is important and that in using it, it is important to use the sunscreen at least 30 minutes before entering the water and to re-apply the sunscreen again every few hours.
