SHREVEPORT, LA — Authorities are searching for the vehicle that killed a man in an early morning hit-and-run in east Shreveport.
Shreveport Police tell KMSS that officers were dispatched at 4:01 a.m. to the 1900 block of Clyde Fant Parkway to reports of a person lying on the side of the road.
When officials arrived, they found a body near the southbound lanes, just north of the Stoner Avenue exit ramp. The man appeared to have been hit by a vehicle. Crime scene investigators are working with the Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office at this hour to verify the identity of the victim.
Crash investigators were able to recover vehicle parts and pieces that were strewn along the shoulder of Clyde Fant Parkway, where they believe the collision took place.
Detectives think the vehicle is a newer model Honda, possibly a silver Pilot. The vehicle will have damage to the passenger side headlight, fog light, grill area and the passenger-side mirror will be missing. Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to call Shreveport Police crash investigators at (318) 673-7255 or Shreveport-Caddo Parish Crime Stoppers at (318) 673-7373.
