Stony Brook University's baseball team returned home Monday as the first team in school history to make it to the College World Series.

The Seawolves beat six-time national champion LSU in the NCAA Super Regionals to qualify.
Seawolves pitcher Frankie Vanderka led his team to Sunday night's 7-2 victory in Game three.
"We love the whole Cinderella story, you know. Everyone underestimating us and then showing what a Northeast team can do? We just played how we played all year. We didn't change a thing," Vanderka said
Stony Brook is the first team from New York to make it to the College World Series in Omaha since 1980.
The series -- which includes a field of eight teams -- starts on Friday.
