Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Baton Rouge Police are investigating a hit and run accident on I-10 Eastbound that shut down traffic for several hours.
Police say a small car cut off an 18-wheeler entering I-10 at the Louise Street on ramp.
The truck swerved to avoid hitting a parish dump truck.
The 18 wheeler overturned, spilling trash all over the roadway; it took cleanup crews more than three hours to clear the incident.
Both truck drivers are ok.
Police say they're looking for a late model white Pontiac four-door car with dark tinted windows.
