Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Baton Rouge citizens had a chance to have their questions answered today about educational changes coming to Louisiana.
It was part of a town hall meeting held by Councilwoman Ronnie Edwards.at the Delmont Service Center.
Topics discussed included the voucher program, parental involvement and the effects of lower income students being able to transfer to charter schools.
"One of the outcomes from this is people will have a higher comfort level of exactly where our community is heading on the issue of education," stated Edwards.
Edwards hopes that other council people will follow her lead and have town halls on education in their districts.
