BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Anita Katzman of the yellow team writes:
I was making a gift basket for someone and all I needed was the Hershey kisses. My husband asked me if I needed him to pick up anything on his way home. I told him I needed the chocolate, maybe enough to fill a coffee mug. What does he do? Brings home a 3.5 pound bag of them. He couldn't pass up the "deal", and it was much more expensive to buy a smaller pack. I asked him nicely to never do that again. I can pass up donuts, cake, chips, but not candy! It's one of the things I cannot have in my house. The other is ice cream. I think I'm ok buying frozen yogurt, because it's better for you, but to actually keep it in the house is something I've done away with. If I'm out, and have a little bit, there is no guilt in that. And there shouldn't be, but know your limitations. Unless you're giving most of it away, don't buy it.
Rebekah Worrell of the pink team writes:
This week was another great week of working out. I actually went out and bought myself a bike. Now I can get in some cardio without even having to go to the gym. It's nice to get some fresh air while working out.
James Newman of the orange team writes:
As we approach the half way mark of this competition, I really look forward to see what the back half will bring. It doesn't seem that we should be half way already. I guess what they say is true; time flies when you're having fun.
James Henry of the green team writes:
I discovered that I'm back down to the smallest size I've worn in years. When I started the program, I was a large 40" waist, or as I like to call it, a 40" muffin top. Now I'm a small 36" waist. I really am shocked with how much my body has changed that last three months. Even if it means my wife has a new pet name for me, and I have access to clothes that I haven't worn in years. I am all for it!
Kris Cusanza of the red team writes:
This week I have found my miracle snack! I am obsessed with cauliflower mash potatoes. All you have to do is mix Greek yogurt, non-fat cheese, cauliflower and a little bit of butter. It’s amazing, and it tricks me into feeling like I ate really double stuffed potatoes. Also, I have discovered that I am gaining arm muscles.
