HAMMOND, LA — A Hammond man was arrested yesterday and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
On May 23, 2012, an incident occurred on Quick Blvd. where numerous rounds of random gunfire were exchanged. The gunfire caused severe property damage to near by residences/vehicles and subsequently injured a male subject.
Upon investigation, deputies recovered over 15 spent .40 Caliber rounds in the area. It was reported that an altercation occurred between several subjects outside of a residence on Quick Blvd.
Through anonymous tips, detectives were able to identify Willie Earl Dykes as the perpetrator. He was arrested and charged with Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
