Baton Rouge, La — On June 6th, MetroCouncilwoman Ronnie Edwards will host a workshop and panel discussion on education reform in our state at the Delmont Service Center from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Panelists include legislators, such as Senator Sharon Weston Broome and Representative Alfred Williams, charter school representatives, such as Caroline Roemer Shirley, school board personnel, such as Barbara Freiberg, Interim Superintendent Carlos Sam, and others affected by education reform.
With the help of our energetic moderator, Adell Brown of 100 Black Men, the panel discussion will commence following a brief keynote address. There will be a question and answer session followed by next steps. Breakfast will be served and registration opens at 8:00am.
