Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — A space that's been empty for years in Baton Rouge will soon be home to an upscale French restaurant.
Galatoire's has broken ground at the corner of Acadian and Perkins.
The restaurant is a mainstay in the French Quarter.
A partner with the restaurant says Baton Rouge is the perfect spot for another location.
“We think it’s only fitting that a city with a French name would have a French restaurant,” stated partner John D. George’s. “We are excited to bring Galatoire's back to the city for the patrons that have been loyal to Galatoire's for over 100 years.”
The restaurant is set to open in December of this year.
