LAFAYETTE, LA (NBC33) — The Lafayette Police Department has ruled out two vehicles of interest that were spotted on surveillance images in relation to the case of missing ULL student Mickey Shunick.
Officials report today that the occupants of both vehicles were located and both have been ruled out as having possible involvement with the investigation.
The vehicles include a 4-door car and white 4-door pickup truck with a bed cover. Both vehicles were identified from surveillance cameras in the area where Mickey Shunick was last seen.
The occupant of a third vehicle of interest, however, is still outstanding. It is a newer model white Z-71 pickup truck.
Mickey Shunick went missing on Saturday, May 19 in Lafayette shortly before 2:00 a.m. She was last seen riding her bicycle home for the evening after spending the night out with friends. On Sunday, May 27 her bicycle was recovered  in the water at the Whiskey Bay exit.
