LAFAYETTE, LA (NBC33) — The Metro Narcotics Task Force arrested three people on Thursday, May 24 for operating a “shake and bake” meth lab at a home in Lafayette.
Officials tell us that the call came in shortly before 10:00 p.m. about the possible meth lab operation being conducted out of a home on Larkspur Lane. We’re told that the Narcotics Task Force was sent to investigate. The Lafayette Fire Haz Mat Unit was also deployed to make sure that the scene was safe for investigators.
Agents recovered 29 grams of methamphetamine by product and 15 grams of methamphetamine during the investigation.
Three individuals were arrested at the scene. They include Deidra Leblanc, Wilman A. Keith, and Brian K. Arnold.
This investigation is ongoing and we’re told that more arrests are likely.
