SHREVEPORT, LA — A man is in the hospital with serious injuries after he was run over because of a dispute over money.
About 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night, Shreveport police were dispatched to the 400 block of Egan Street. They found John Huggins, 33, suffering from multiple injuries.
According witnesses, he had been deliberately run over. The man,Robert H. Davis, 53, who hit him ran from the scene.
Huggin was taken to a local hospital with what were described as serious injuries.
Davis had driven to Egan Street to purchase drugs and got into a argument with Huggins over a small amount of money. Davis then allegedly ran down the victim in his car, according to the detectives.
Davis was found a short time later at his home on the 400 block of Wynadotte Street where he was taken into custody.
Following interviews with the investigators, he was booked into the Shreveport City Jail on one count of attempted Second-Degree murder.
