Istrouma High to become part of Recovery School District

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — When Istrouma High school reopens later this year they'll be part of the Recovery School District.

Yesterday was the final day for Istrouma as a part of the East Baton Rouge school system. It was taken over by the RSD earlier this year.

Officials with the Recovery School District tell NBC33 some of the changes will include transferring Prescott Middle School to the Istrouma campus for next year.

Other area schools being taken over by the RSD include Capitol High School, Prescott and Glen Oaks Middle, Dalton and Lanier Elementary.
