Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Our state ranks among the highest when it comes to grandparents who now find themselves raising their grandchildren.
About seven percent of families in Louisiana are households headed by a grandparent who isn’t always prepared financially, mentally or physically to deal with a second run at raising children.
NBC33’s Jason Newton sits down with two women who explain their problems, and what can be done to better deal with this all too common situation.
