NBC NATIONAL NEWS — A rare “Ring of Fire" crosses the skies, leaving a spectacular view for millions across the world.
Since we couldn't see it here in Louisiana, here's what the eclipse looked like to people in Nevada.
This was the view of the annular solar eclipse in Pioche, Nevada. People across parts of the western United States and the Pacific were able to see this view last night.
During an annular eclipse, the moon passes in front of the sun, leaving only a golden ring around its edges.
The was the first total solar eclipse to be seen across the United States in 18 years.
