BATON ROUGE, LA — The Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections – Corrections Services will officially welcome twenty-one new Probation and Parole Officers to the Department when they take the oath of office today, Friday, May 18, 2012 during a swearing in ceremony at 1:00 p.m. the Old State Capitol in Baton Rouge.
The new officers will be assigned to districts across Louisiana, with two officers in the graduating class assigned to the Baton Rouge District.
DPS&C’s P.O.S.T. certified P&P officers are responsible for keeping tabs on more than 70,000 individuals under probation and/or parole supervision across the state.
