Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The Baton Rouge Food Bank says they've collected tens of thousands of pounds in food, and they have you to thank.
The food bank held the "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive earlier this month, and they collected 50,000 pounds of food.
Baton Rouge Food Bank CEO Michael Manning says he's grateful for all that food, especially with the three copper thefts that hit the place since Christmas.
“It’s life, and there are good people and bad people, and we face these challenges as we move forward,” sated Manning. “These kinds of things happen.”
Manning says the food bank is always looking for more donations.
You can drop off food at any Associated Food store, Winn Dixie, or Albertsons in Baton Rouge.
