It was a disappointing week, but I'll be continuing with my weight loss journey and plan on hitting my first target on my 40th birthday at the end of August and will continue to hit my goal weight afterwards.

I have to say a big thank you to everyone that voted for me over this last month. You all helped me to obtain immunity for this last month for the second time. I am sorry that Anita was voted out of the competition. I believe, though, that she will continue to be successful with her efforts to get healthier.

This week, my workout evolved to include handstands. No need to check, you read that correctly. Handstands. The hardest part of doing a handstand is the voice in your head screaming at the top of its lungs, "You're going to fall and break your neck!" My voice sounds like my mom, as it was a phrase I heard from her often when I was growing up. So, for doing such a wonderful job raising me and keeping me safe while simultaneously quadrupling the difficulty of a handstand, I just want to say one thing. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! I love you!

This past week was another great week. It's still crazy to me how much I love working out. I still have my good days and bad days were I don't feel like working out but after I'm done working out I feel alot better. I also still struggle some with eating right. I do really great during the week but its the weekends that I end up not eating the best. It's still a work in progress that gets a little easier everyday.
Kris Cusanza writes:
I am an emotional eater. It was very hard this week not to turn to food to help deal with difficult situations. I really struggled this week to make myself get up and go to the gym, or do a workout at home even. I have to refocus my diet and my workout, so that outside pressures don't make me give up.
