NBC NATIONAL NEWS — President Obama challenged women to lead the way in a resounding commencement address at Barnard College, a private women's college in New York City.
The President urged the women graduates not to believe the notion that change is impossible and to embrace and rekindle the spirit of change.
He also had a few pieces of advice for the graduates.
"Don't just get involved, fight for your seat at the table,” stated Obama. “Better yet, fight for a seat at the head of the table."
While in New York City, President Obama will attend two fundraisers, one of which will be hosted by singer Ricky Martin, thanking him for his support of gay marriage.
