Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Day 5 - Lil' Boosie's lyrics and phone calls made the night of Terry Boyd's murder were the focus of the prosecution's main witness today, a computer forensics expert.
He testified that phone calls made by “Marlo” Mike Louding to one of Lil Boosie's phones the night of the murder put Louding near the murder scene. Louding is alleged to have murdered Terry Boyd back in October of 2009.
The defense argued though that anybody could have been using Boosie's phone that night and that there is no proof that Louding's phone calls were made to Boosie's home.
The expert also stated that Boosie recorded the song "187" just minutes before the murder was committed. One of the lyrics is "Hey Marlo. He drive a Monte Carlo. I want that (expletive) dead.”
He also said the song "Bodybag" was written minutes after Terry Boyd was murdered. It says "How you gonna bust me on a body bag?"
The defense argued Boosie was resampling old songs.
The only other witness to take the stand was Lil Boosie's good friend, a man nicknamed Donkey.
The defense is expected to start its case as early as tomorrow. Lil' Boosie faces life behind bars if convicted. Testimony is scheduled to continue tomorrow morning at 9:30.
