BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Month two of Losing it in Louisiana is in the books and the Losing it in Louisiana family continues to work hard to lose weight and keep their personal trainer.
In first place is the green team: James Henry.
Henry came in to the competition at 258 pounds. He now weighs 220 pounds. That’s a total of minus 38 pounds. Henry says he’s focusing on increasing his endurance.
"My goal is about a 6-7 minute straight during my running workout,” said Henry. “I figure that be good goal to start. I can do 3 and a half minutes now. If I can push that to 7."
Kris Cusanza came in second place with at total weight los of minus 31 pounds. Cusanza started at 236 now she weighs 205. Her weight loss goal for the month gets under two hundred pounds.
Anita Katzman with the yellow team’s dropped from a starting weight of 219 pounds to 204 pounds.
"My weight loss goal is for my weight to start with a one, and for me that be 5 more pounds, " said Katzman.
The orange team’s James Newman started at 256 pounds now he’s 12 pounds lighter at 244 pounds.
"Break the losing 10 pound mark in a month,” said Katzman. “If I can do that I know it's going to take a lot more work than obviously what I have been putting in to it.”
The pink team’s Rebekah Worrell is down to 141 pounds. That’s a total weight loss of 9 pounds.
"I just want to get below 140, 135 maybe,” said Worrell. “It's not about the weight to me it just about being healthy. I can tell I'm getting smaller so that's what counts."
This month’s social media winner is James Newman. He had immunity for this elimination.
This month the Bally Total Fitness secret judging panel chose to split up the yellow team.
Anita Katzman will no longer get to workout with her personal trainer Justin Kirk.
Katzman had this message for her trainer.
"Thank you so much for helping me,” said Katzman. “I've learned a ton of information and I’m very grateful."
The blue team’s Carole Walker was the first contestant to lose her personal trainer. This after gaining five pounds in month one. Now she is down at total of ten pounds lost.
Month three is the last month of single eliminations. The remaining three contestants at the end of the month will compete in a new series of weight loss challenges to find out who will win Losing it in Louisiana.
