BATON ROUGE, LA — Runnels senior KeAndrae McClain has been recruited to pitch for for the baseball team at Alabama State University in Montgomery, where he will start as a freshman this fall.
He will sign with his new organization at a ceremony on May 10 at 12:10 p.m. in the foyer of the Runnels Theater, 17255 S. Harrell's Ferry Rd., in Baton Rouge. KeAndrae's family, coaches, administrators, teachers, teammates, and friends will join him for the occasion.
High School Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach Tookie Johnson said that “KeAndrae has been one of the best pitchers the Raiders program has ever had and has earned high honors the last four years. His place on a Division I baseball team is well deserved and we know he will do great!”
KeAndrae is the son of Kim and Anthony McClain.
