BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — 24 puppies got a second chance to find a forever home Friday.
All thanks to a partnership between the Companion Animal Alliance in Baton Rouge and the Norfolk, Virginia SPCA.
CAA's shelter could no longer house the overwhelming amount of puppies brought in.
So, they teamed up with an animal transport group, to which sanctuary animal rescue and the Norfolk SPCA will bring those puppies to the no kill shelter in Virginia.
CAA officials say they will set more opportunities like this to help save animals.
Next month 20 more puppies are scheduled to head up to Norfolk.
