BATON ROUGE, LA — After reaching and then exceeding its community fundraising goal via Kickstarter on April 26, the BR Walls Project is now gaining the support of the business community. In addition to strategic supporters Lamar Advertising, and Raising Canes, the Walls group will now have street level, storefront operations in the Plaza Building at 327 North Boulevard Town Square in downtown.
A consortium of four downtown businesses – Stroube’s Restaurant, Capital City Grill, Vision City Development Group and the collaborative work-space entity, Springboard Baton Rouge – have joined together to underwrite $10,000 in office space rental costs.
“As partners in these four ventures, we have strong stakeholder interests in the tremendous growth being experienced in downtown Baton Rouge,” said John Schneider, Chairman of Vision City Development Group. “The BR Walls Project is another progressive move forward and we want the project to have a highly visible, rallying point to spread the vision and the message. What better place than at the center of North Boulevard Town Square.”
Although the online fundraising goal has been met, BR Walls Project is still accepting donations.
