NBC News — Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez appeared on government TV overnight after arriving back home following medical treatment in Cuba. Chavez was in Havana for another round of radiation treatment for a recurring cancer.
He told supporters that he was recovering well and that so far there have been no adverse effects to his treatment. His arrival comes after rumors of his death forced him earlier this week to call in to state television to say he was still able to govern the South American nation. Chavez has kept details of his cancer private offering only vague descriptions of the removal of two tumors in his pelvic area.
