Zachary, La (NBC33) — Capital Area Transit System CEO Brian Marshall says the city of Zachary might not see any bus service starting in 2013.
The city overwhelmingly voted down a property tax to fund CATS, which means no money to pay for busses will come from Zachary.
Marshall says service will continue through 2012.
He says he'll have a talk with Zachary's mayor to see if anything can be done about 2013.
79 percent of voters in Zachary said no to the CATS tax on Saturday. The measure was approved in Baker and Baton Rouge.
