NBC News — Former News International Chairman James Murdoch gave evidence under oath at Britain's Media Ethics Inquiry tuesday. Murdoch is at the inquiry to answer questions about how much he knew about phone hacking at the News of the World tabloid.
Revelations that reporters at the paper had hacked into the phone of a teenage murder victim led James Murdoch's father Rupert to close the 168 year old tabloid and triggered three police investigations as well as the judge-led inquiry into media practices. Murdoch stepped down as chairman of News International in February and resigned from his post as chairman of British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC earlier this month.
