NBC News — Police in Colombia announced the seizure of a major shipment of weapons meant for rebels and a narcotics gang. Colombia's Defense Minister Juan Carlos Pinzón Bueno showed off the weapons cache at a news conference in Bogota monday.
He said there were 160 rifles, 150 grenades, 25 pistols, and more than 6700 hundred bullets. Police said the weapons trafficking was organized by a branch of the FARC rebels and a drug gang. The majority of the weapons were found in the city of Cali, less than 200 miles from Bogota.
