BATON ROUGE, LA — Raising Cane's has thrown some tasty support in the form of dollars behind the BR Walls Project. With only four days left in the Wall’s online fundraising campaign, Todd Graves of Raising Cane’s has now raised the stakes even higher. He has pledged to fund an entire Wall on behalf of Cane’s if the rest of the community steps up to hit the $25,000 goal by April 26.
“I always get excited to be involved with BTR community activist like Kathryn and Casey. We are thrilled to see such an exciting project come to life in our hometown,” says Graves. “Artists, community leaders and businesses are working together to beautify Baton Rouge and the Crew at Cane’s is proud to be a part of that progress.”
Graves hopes the generosity of Raising Cane’s will inspire more individuals and corporations to get behind the BR Walls Project. Contributions from local companies will be key for the long-term success of this project, which is not funded by the city or state. All donations are tax deductible via the Walls nonprofit partner, the Baton Rouge Gallery.
If the $25,000 goal is not reached by Thursday April 26 at 6:30 p.m. all of the funding goes away. To ensure that the goal is met, the BR Walls Project is hosting an all-day telethon at the Hotel Indigo from 8:00 a.m. until 6: 00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26. Supporters are welcome to come by to volunteer to make calls, or watch the action thru the glass lobby walls. T
he telethon will be run by floor leader Manuel F. Valencia (of Excelerant and founder of arts group 300seats).
