GULF SHORES (NBC) — Today marks the two year anniversary of the Deepwater Horizon Explosion that explosion killed 11 workers on board the rig.
A small group of environmentalists gathered at the public pier in Gulf Shores at noon today to remember those killed in the Deepwater Horizon accident. One of those who showed up at the ceremony was a survivor of the explosion.
That explosion was also responsible for the worst environmental disaster in our country's history.
